Measure C Replacement Fails

A proposed replacement for Fresno County’s Measure C has failed its initial signature test, delaying its path to the November ballot. Officials say too many duplicate signatures were found in the sample, forcing a full manual review of all petitions. While it could still qualify, election leaders warn the timeline is now tight, putting the measure’s chances in jeopardy.  

An Inland Empire family says they were stunned after discovering what appeared to be someone else’s ashes inside an urn they bought on Amazon. The family is now trying to track down the person’s loved ones, but says responses from Amazon and the seller have been slow and frustrating.

The FTC monitors social media for issues like deceptive advertising, scams, and misuse of personal data, applying the same rules that govern traditional business practices. 

A new comedy series inspired by the classic Young Frankenstein is coming to FX, with Zach Galifianakis set to star in Very Young Frankenstein. The show comes from a powerhouse creative team including Taika Waititi and writer Stefani Robinson, with original filmmaker Mel Brooks also involved as an executive producer.

A Texas man is facing charges after intentionally driving his Tesla Cybertruck into a lake to test its “Wade Mode” feature—only for the vehicle to quickly become stuck and take on water. Police say the driver and passengers had to escape the truck and abandon it, before rescue crews pulled it out of Grapevine Lake.

Philip tells a story about one 4th of July at Wild Water Adventure Park. The park is open for the holiday weekend, showing off its new attraction, a 1,000‑foot lazy river called “Lost River Adventure.” The jungle-themed experience is designed to immerse guests as they float through themed sights and sounds, marking one of the park’s largest expansions in years. 

A Fresno car club is giving back to local veterans, as Hot Rods Fresno raised thousands of dollars for the Central Valley Honor Flight through its annual car show. The nonprofit Honor Flight program provides free trips for veterans to Washington, D.C. so they can visit memorials honoring their service and sacrifice.
